Cà del Cavatore

The “Cà del Cavatore” takes its name from Giuseppe Cavatore, a passionate scholar of the history and culture of the Biella area, whose works offer a detailed look at the region, reconstructing its history and memories. Some of his writings are available to guests.

The building, dating back to the late 17th century, is known in the village as “’l palas” because of its size. It spans three floors connected by a large stone staircase. The restoration work respected the building’s identity, preserving its original features: on the top floor, the terracotta floor and wooden ceiling still tell its story—this is where the teacher lived when the elementary school was housed in the building next door.
The house is located at the end of Via Debernardi, the village’s most picturesque street, right across from the Church of San Carlo Borromeo: a location that invites you to experience the village on foot, at ease, following the slow pace of the place.
Each apartment has its own balcony or veranda where you can enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings. There is also a dedicated space for storing and charging bicycles.
