The Village and the Community

A Living Village

Vermogno is a small hamlet of Zubiena, a town in the province of Biella, that has been inhabited for generations.
Stone houses, courtyards, community ties, memories.
Borgodoro was founded to keep this place alive by restoring existing homes and transforming them into scattered accommodations, without altering the village’s identity.
Here, hospitality is not separate from daily life: it is part of the village.

Gold and Oven

A land of gold. And of shared bread.

Vermogno is located in the Bessa area, an ancient gold deposit that was already being mined in Roman times. For centuries, the area has preserved traces of gold and human labor. Today, the heart of the village beats around the community oven, where the Vermogno Vive association organizes gatherings and social evenings. Here, history is not just the past—it is something that continues to live on.

Staying Overnight in the Village

Seven independent accommodations spread throughout the historic homes of Vermogno. Simple, welcoming spaces, designed for those who want:
a few days of peace and quiet,
a weekend surrounded by nature,
a base from which to explore the area.

In the center of the village, near local trails and paths with an authentic atmosphere.
